Join us Saturday, June 22nd
12-5 pm
616 Industrial St. Hood River, OR
Come visit us!
On Saturday, June 22nd, we're opening up our Hood River studio for our annual summer sale.
In-person sales are so fun! You'll get the chance to see our studio where the magic (and mess) happens and, often times, find one-off goods that we made just 'cause and don't sell in large quantities on our website. Most importantly, we get to see all your beautiful, smiling faces in real life!
What to expect:
We'll have the main studio set up with new work on display and we'll be giving live throwing and glazing demonstrations throughout the day. There will be a kids clay table! Come enjoy free drinks from Blue Bus Kombucha. Bring your family, friends and kids.
This is also an opportunity for us to sell our beautiful, but slightly flawed Seconds. These are generally about half price. The seconds sale will be set up in the back room of our studio and we'll let in about 10 people at a time to this area. For those interested in seconds, starting at 11am we'll be giving out numbered tickets for entry to the back room, so folks don't have to wait in line. The back room also opens at noon.
We will have some packaging materials, but we love it when folks bring their own totes, bags or boxes to safely carry their ceramics home.
Cash is always appreciated, but we take credit cards and Venmo too.
Not just pottery!
In addition to pottery, several of our talented studio team members will have their personal artwork for sale as well. This includes our studio manager and glazist Joey Rose, with her collection of inimitable earrings, necklaces, bags and other accessories. Yes, these are the earrings you keep asking about from our photos!
Make sure you're on our newsletter list to get updates about in-person sales, online shop restocks, and more.
How to get to Hood River
If you're coming from Portland, all you need to do is hop on 84 and drive an hour east to exit 63. Our studio is just a few blocks from downtown Hood River.
Make a weekend out of it
There are a lot of great reasons to decamp to Hood River for a weekend, and if you need a little more inspiration than our studio sale, here it is.
Saturday
Grab breakfast at Pine Street Bakery Saturday morning when you pull into town.
While you wait for the studio to open, check out some of the freshest produce, listen to live music, and fill your cooler at the Farmers Market. It runs from 9am - 1pm every Saturday during growing season.
Now it's time to hit the studio sale!
After some shopping and demonstrations, take a walk through town and enjoy a glass of wine at Hood River Common House. Outside food permitted, so feel free to bring a snack from a food truck or neighboring restaurant.
We also love to send folks to Sustain Interior, Parts+Labor, Twiggs, Waucoma Bookstore, and G. Willikers Toy Shoppe.
Once evening rolls around, we suggest a pint at Ferment in the outdoor seating overlooking the river. Or ask for your dinner to-go and eat on the lawn out back.
Staying overnight? We recommend Hood River Hotel or Society Hotel. If you stay at Society Hotel, do not forget to book a session in their spa.
Sunday
As you head home Sunday morning, swing by White Salmon Baking Co. to fuel up for your drive home.
